Emelia DelBosque, 67, of Willmar, died Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by family and friends at Cura of Willmar. Her funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar. A meal will follow at the 4-Season Shelter at Robbins Island Regional Park.
Emelia was born August 5, 1957, in Mathis, Texas, the daughter of Roman and Eustolia (Rodrigues) Mena. Emelia was united in marriage Manuel DelBosque in 1976. To this union seven children were born. They continued to live in Mathis until they moved to Minnesota in 1988. Emelia worked as a seasonal farmer and was employed by Don Nelson Farms. She later worked for Divine House as a caregiver. Emelia enjoyed playing Bingo, Diamond Art, puzzles, shopping and attending garage sales.
She is survived by her children: Belinda Mena (Alex Flores), Manuel DelBosque Jr. (Jen), Irene DelBosque, Anna Marie Mares (Damon), Daniel DelBosque (Kelsi), and Christy Sanchez (Gabriel), and Bernie DelBosque; 22 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her father: Roman Mena; siblings: Jacinto Mena, Candi DelBosque, and Elida Vela; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother: Eustolia Mena; ; her husband: Manuel DelBosque, Sr. in 2019; her son: Bernie DelBosque in 2023; and siblings: Gilberto Mena and Mauricia Cabrera Ruiz.
