Eunice N. Noethe, 92 of New London, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Compassionate Cottages in Willmar. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in New London. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in New London.
Eunice Norma Noethe was born on June 28, 1931, on the family farm in Norway Lake Township, the daughter of Christian and Nellie (Sakariason) Peterson. She attended New London High School, graduating in the class of 1950. After school she worked for Pennock Oil. On May 7, 1952, Eunice was united in marriage to Herman Noethe at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake. This union was blessed with two sons and a daughter. They made their home in New London where she worked at the New London Laundromat, self employed seamstress and home daycare. In 1976, Eunice and Herman built their forever home on Lake Andrew. Eunice and Herman shared in 62 years of marriage before his death on March 20, 2015.
Eunice was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and former member of First Lutheran of Norway Lake. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, her home on the lake and traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family, and always cherished her moments with the grandchildren. She adored all children and was more than happy to hold and take care of your baby.
Eunice is survived by children, Kendall (Robin) Noethe and Kristine (Gary) Ehlinger; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and sisters, Muriel Strom and Alice Morin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; son, Scott; parents and brother, Charles Peterson.
