Gail Johnson Obituary

Gail Marie Johnson, 71, of Willmar, passed away Thursday, January 23, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. Her memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 31, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Gail Marie Elliott was born on May 17, 1953, to Norton and Edna (Aune) Elliott in Minneapolis. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. She graduated from Fridley High School in 1971. On October 14, 1978, she married David Johnson at Parkway United Church in Minneapolis. They were blessed with two children, Christopher and Jennifer, and made their home in Brooklyn Park until 2019, when they moved to Willmar, MN.

Gail was a proud homemaker and often said that her favorite job was being a mom. Her deep love for her family was evident in everything she did. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed car rides, road trips, and chatting on the phone.

Gail is survived by her husband, David; her children: Christopher Johnson and Jennifer (Dustin Vlach) Halvorson; her grandchildren: Elliott and Amelia Johnson, Everett and Mariah Halvorson; her brother, Gordon (Linda) Elliott; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norton and Edna; nephew, Michael Johnson.
