Gary was born July 12, 1968, the son of Ronald and Linda (Hauge) Kavanagh, in Willmar. He grew up in Pennock, graduated from Willmar High School and attended Willmar Vo-Tech for a year. He worked for Eastgate Truck Stop, Helena and Hanson Silo over the years.
He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, throwing bags, camping, ice fishing and spending time with his friends. He was a “Mr. Fix-it,” and could build just about anything, including remodeling two family homes. Sitting in his recliner, watching TV and drinking a slushy, surrounded by family would be an ending to a perfect day!
Surviving are his children, Walker (Trenna Jeppesen) Kavanagh of Lake Lillian and Shelby Kavanagh of Willmar; his parents, Ron and Linda Kavanagh and sister, Kris (Rick) Bulthuis all of Willmar. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and grand-dogs, Copper and Ruger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts Betty and Karen, dear friend, Chrissy Smith, and family dog, Hershey.
