Gerald “Gerry” Marlin Lundberg, 79, of New London, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Bethesda North Pointe in New London. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 1, at Harrison Presbyterian Church, east of Spicer. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Lebanon Cemetery in New London. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Homes, www.hafh.org.
Gerry was born on April 3, 1946, in Willmar, Minnesota, to Glen and Lillie Lundberg. He grew up on the family farm east of Spicer and attended school in Atwater, graduating from Atwater High School in 1964.
After high school, Gerry lived in Willmar and worked in shipping and distribution for Jennie-O, where he was employed for 30 years. Following his retirement, he returned to the family farm before moving to Bethesda North Pointe in January 2022.
A lifelong member of Harrison Presbyterian Church, Gerry’s faith and community were important parts of his life. He enjoyed biking and snowmobiling—often using them as his daily transportation to and from work—along with jigsaw puzzles, reading, Westerns, woodworking, and caring for his beloved cat.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Linda Lundberg of New London; nephew, Mark (Angel) Lundberg of Chicago, IL; as well as several cousins.
Gerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Leland (2022); and nephew, Michael (2009).
