Gloria Eldora (Benson) Siegfried

Gloria Siegfried, 80, of Willmar, died Tuesday, February 26th in Surprise, AZ.  Her funeral service will be 4:00 pm, Sunday, March 10th at Assembly of God in Willmar.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Clover Leaf Cemetery in Willmar.  Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, Willmar. www.hafh.org

Gloria Eldora (Benson) Siegfried was born to Alert and Josephine (Berquist) Benson on August 20, 1938, in Crooks Township, north of Renville in Renville County. She grew up on her parent’s farm near Granite Falls, MN. Gloria attended school in Granite Falls and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1956.  After graduation, Gloria worked as a bookkeeper/secretary at the Riverside Sanatorium in Granite where she worked for five years. While working at the Sanatorium, Gloria met Gary Siegfried.  On June 17, 1961, Gloria married Gary Siegfried at St John’s Lutheran Church. They had three children. They briefly moved to Redwood Falls following their marriage where Gloria worked for Montgomery Wards before moving to Willmar.  Gloria spent sixteen years of being a wife, mom, and homemaker before going back into the work-force briefly starting at Jennie-O Turkey Plant in Willmar before working at Kindlehope in the office for almost 19 years.  She finished her career at Willmar Hearing Aid Center in an administrative position and retired in 2006.

Gloria enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, baking, family history, and especially spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children and their families: Todd (Lynn Lawver) Siegfried of Litchfield, and children: Faith Siegfried, Jarod (Ronica) Siegfried, Jaxon, Santino, Lokene, and Cecilia Siegfried, and Madeline Davis; Tamie (Roger) Galles of Goodyear, Arizona, and children: Zack Galles and Amber Galles; Tim (Pam) Siegfried of Atwater, and children Matt: (Ashley) Sommers, Barrett, Joshua Siegfried and daughter Ciara, and Megan Siegfried. She is also survived by her sister, Sadie Gillings (Benson)of Albuquerque, NM. 

Gloria was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Gary Siegfried, sisters, Junette Anderson (Benson), and Yvonne Corey (Benson).
