Inez Luella Danielson, 101, died Thursday, August 31st at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. Family services were held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Raymond. Funeral arrangements were with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org
Inez was born May 31, 1922, on a farm in Chippewa County, Minnesota, the daughter of Adolph and Bertha (Martins) Ziehl.
On April 9, 1941, she was united in marriage to Milton Danielson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Raymond. They owned and operated several restaurants for the next 38 years in Tyler, Raymond, and Redwood Falls. After Milton’s death in 1979, she worked as a waitress, a clerk at Woolworths and a clerk at an office supply in Redwood Falls. In 1990 she moved to Willmar.
She was a great baker, making all the pastries for the restaurants that they owned. Her family especially remembers her white cake with lemon filling and her lemon pie. Her hobbies were quilting, crocheting, sewing, reading books and putting puzzles together.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Robert) Williams of Willmar; three grandchildren, Lee (Heide) Williams of Hastings, James (Tamie) Williams of Willmar and Patrick (Stacy) Williams of Spicer; nine great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ervin and Merlin Ziehl; and sisters, Irene Koster, Adeline Niemeyer and Elaine Olson.
