Janette Rose Niklaus, 55, of Belgrade, died from natural causes on Sunday, February 9 at her home in Belgrade. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15th at Crow River Lutheran Church near Belgrade. Visitation will start at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements were with Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.

Janette Rose Blonigen was born on August 13, 1969 to Chris and Amanda (Wieber) Blonigen in Melrose. She attended Melrose High School and graduated in 1987. Janette went on to school at the University of Minnesota – Morris and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology.
Janette was united in marriage to James “Jim” Niklaus on October 26, 1991 at Crow River Lutheran Church. She worked as a Financial Transaction Assistant at North American State Bank and Stearns Bank of St. Cloud for many years.
Janette was a great cook and enjoyed gardening and sewing. She even made her own wedding dress with help from her mother. Janette was a quiet and reserved person, but loved spending time with her family very much.
Janette is survived by her husband, Jim Niklaus of Belgrade; son, Jesse Niklaus of Belgrade; brothers and sisters, Rosie (Roger) Walsh of New London, Roger (Sharon) Blonigen of Albany, Reuben Blonigen of Buffalo, Roman (Mary) Blonigen of Sauk Rapids, Marvin Blonigen (wife Linda, deceased) of Cook, John (Renee) Blonigen of Melrose, Leon (Anna Blenker) Blonigen of Sauk Centre, Lora Larson (husband Wendell, deceased) of Belgrade, Vernon (Sherri) Blonigen of Sauk Centre, and Melvin Blonigen of Grey Eagle; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Lowell (LaVerne) Niklaus, Steve (Sandy) Niklaus, Joe (Anne) Niklaus, Mary Lee Niklaus (husband Dave, deceased), and Mary Lou Niklaus; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Amanda Blonigen; and parents-in-law, Leander and Genevieve Niklaus.
