Janice Marie Oslund

Janice Marie Oslund, 68, of Svea, died Tuesday, June 21 at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. Her memorial service will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 25th at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm, Friday at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to her service at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Lake Lillian Community Cemetery. www.hafh.org

Janice Marie Oslund was born September 29, 1953, to Howard and Beulah (Harding) Oslund in Willmar. She grew up in Lake Lillian and was baptized and later confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. She attended elementary school in Lake Lillian and later graduated from Bird Island High School in 1971. Janice continued her education at Alexandria Vo-Tech and graduated in 1972. She worked at Finger Hut briefly, before starting work at Jennie-O where she worked for many years. Janice would later work for Eagle Lake Tom Thumb. On December 9, 2003, Janice was united in marriage to William “Bill” Wadsworth in Watertown, SD. They made their home in Svea. In her younger years, Janice enjoyed fishing, camping, baking for holidays, cooking and watching stock car races. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Janice is survived by her granddaughter, Zaeh Oslund; and great-granddaughter on the way, Reign Marie Oslund; siblings: Julie Reigstad of New London, Keith (Dawn) Oslund of Blomkest, Kevin (JoAnne) Oslund of Oak View, CA, Paulette (Lynn) Ascheman of Blomkest, Patty (Joe) Wrobleski of Lake Lillian, Kenneth (Jill) Oslund of Lake Lillian and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Wadsworth; son, Troy Oslund; and her parents and brothers-in-law: Larry Reigstad, Jerry Thorson; great nephew, Nathan Kleinschmidt.
