Jarrett was born on October 28, 1977, in Olivia, Minnesota, to William and Nancy (Watkins) Kopacek. He spent his early years in Bird Island before the family moved to Willmar. Jarrett attended Lincoln Elementary and graduated from Willmar High School in 1996. He went on to earn his associate's degree from Ridgewater College in 1999.
On August 27, 2005, Jarrett married Kylie Taatjes at Hope Presbyterian Church in rural Spicer. The couple made their home in Raymond before settling in Willmar in 2007. For more than a decade, Jarrett worked as a Direct Service Provider with Swift County DAC, where he was deeply committed to his work and clients.
A proud Eagle Scout, Jarrett loved camping in South Dakota, golfing at Hawk Creek Country Club, and refereeing and playing volleyball. However, bowling was his greatest passion—he achieved an extraordinary 21 perfect 300 games during his lifetime.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy of Willmar; sisters, Tammy Kopacek of Sebeka, Cassie (Adam) Gellman of Medina, Ally (Mike) Taylor, Kalyn, and Lexi Kopacek, all of Willmar; nephews, Noah, Rory, Danny, Perry, and Charlie, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jarrett was preceded in death by his father, William, in 2006; sister, Shannan, in 2016 and grandparents, Charles and Blanche Kopacek and Howard and Dorothy Watkins.
