Jean Margaret Lingl, 64, of Willmar, died Tuesday, July 14th at her home. There will be a time of visitation from 9-11 am, Saturday, July 18th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org
Jean was born on February 22, 1956, in Olivia, the daughter of Benjamin and Shirley (Emerson) Kubesh. She grew up in Olivia where she graduated from Olivia High School in 1975.
She was united in marriage to Gary Lingl on October 16, 1976, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bird Island. Following their marriage, Jean and Gary lived in Olivia and she worked at Smiley’s Supper Club. In 1978 they moved to Willmar where she worked at various nursing homes as a CNA and at Pizza Hut. In 1987 Jean started her career in daycare, retiring after 31 years in 2018. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and sharing her life with her daycare children. Jean enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and playing cards.
Surviving are her husband, Gary; children: Jennifer (and Ted) Ferrari of Baxter, Donald (and Britney) Lingl of Willmar and Scott (and Jackie) Lingl of Wabasha; five grandchildren: Riley, Daniel, Lily, Tayson, Elizabeth and expecting another soon. Also surviving are her siblings: Doug (and Shorty) Kubesh of Brainerd, Craig (and Pam) Kubesh of Olivia and Robert Kubesh of Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Shirley Kubesh, father and mother-in-law, Don and Bertha Lingl and sisters, Nancy Haney and Joan Kubesh.
