Jean (Donner) Vegdahl

Jean (Donner) Vegdahl, age 85, of New London, died Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Rice Memorial Hospital. A private memorial service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home in New London. www.hafh.org

Jean was born on May 31, 1935, in Lucan, Minnesota. Her family moved to Belgrade, Minnesota where she spent most of her childhood on the family farm.  On November 9, 1958, Jean married Kenneth Vegdahl and moved to New London. She enjoyed raising their four children, reading, and golfing. Jean was so excited to get a hole-in-one at the Little Crow Country Club on her 75th birthday! Jean also loved raising two beagles, PeeWee and Buddy. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her grandchildren, Jennifer, Peter, Peyton, and Kylie.

She is survived by her children:  Kent Vegdahl of Alpine, CA, Kimberly Baldwin (James) of Burnsville, MN, Kurt Vegdahl of Wayzata, MN and Kyle Vegdahl of Spicer, MN; her grandchildren: Jennifer Rogers (Tim), Peter Baldwin, Peyton Vegdahl, and Kylie Vegdahl.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny in 2003, and her parents, Alma and Frances Donner.
