Jenilee Jean Erickson, 38, of St. Joseph, died Thursday, March 26th, due to a sudden heart attack at her home. Her memorial service will be 11:00 am, Monday, June 29th at Assembly of God in Willmar. Visitation will be from 3-5:00 pm, Sunday, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and continue one hour prior to her service at church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Jenilee Jean Erickson was born to Dean and Laurie (Caldwell) Hess on December 14, 1981, in Willmar. She was baptized at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar and later confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. She grew up in Willmar and attended Willmar High School, graduating with The Class of 2000. During her senior year, Jenilee attended Ridgewater College as a postsecondary student. She furthered her education at St. Cloud State, where she received a Masters degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology. On October 13, 2007, Jenilee was united in marriage to Bryan Erickson in Salem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. To this union two children were born: Olivia and Carter. She loved her children dearly and was extremely proud of them. Jenilee started working at J&J Holmes as a Human Resource Manager for a few years, before starting work at Thrive Behavioral Network, where she was the Human Resources and Accounts Payable Manager. Jenilee enjoyed going to the beach, malls, concerts, and spending time on the pontoon, and discussing music. She was a loving, caring, compassionate person who had an infectious smile and could carry the energy of a room by herself. She was also very competitive in all things from bean bags to playing cards. Above all she was a loving wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend, always caring about others before herself.
Jenilee is survived by her husband: Bryan Erickson of St. Joseph; children: Olivia (7) and Carter (3); parents: Dean and Laurie Hess of Willmar; brother; Adam (Kati Jo) Hess of Raymond; mother-in-law: Beata Erickson and brother-in-law: Allen Erickson. She is also survived by other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; brother, Phillip; and father-in-law: Gary Erickson.
