Jessi Lynn Thorpe

Jessi Thorpe, 37, of Willmar, died on Wednesday, June 26th at St. Cloud Hospital.  Her visitation will be on Tuesday, July 2nd from 5-7:00pm, with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Raymond. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers. www.hafh.org 

Jessi Lynn Thorpe was born on October 26, 1981, in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Janet (Swart)and Marvin Thorpe.  She moved with her family to Willmar where she grew up.  She graduated from Willmar High School in the Class of 2000.  She received her massage therapy certification from Ridgewater College in Willmar and later attended SWMSU in Marshall and received her BS in Psychology from the University of Phoenix.  She worked at Verizon Target Mobile, Cub Foods Liquor, and Carmike Theaters in Willmar. She was currently working in reception at Carris Health ACMC in Willmar.

Jessi enjoyed baking, especially banana bread and cookies.  She loved to read, listen to music, spending time with her friends and her cats, Kahlúa and Spot.

Jessi was a kind, loving, caring soul that always helped others.

She is survived by her mother, Janet Thorpe; brother, Ben (and Esther) Thorpe; grandmother, Helen Kostka all of Willmar; half siblings: Harold, Marife (and Gary) and Alex (and Kristi); aunts and uncles: Mavis (and Bob) Johnson, Tom Swart, Larry (and Shirley) Swart, Joyce (and Dan) Sweep, Charles Thorpe; several cousins and other relatives.

Jessi was preceded in death by her father: Marvin in 2017; grandparents: John Swart, Alvin and Johanna Thorpe.
