Jessica Kruger

Jessica Kruger, 38, of Bunde, passed away at CCM Health Hospital in Montevideo. Her memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 26th at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm, Friday, April 25th at the church and continue one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at Bunde Christian Reformed Church in Bunde. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Clara City. 

Jessica Sue Kruger was born on January 26, 1987, in Willmar and was raised by Scott and Jackie (DeGrote) VanHove. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Clara City, where Jessica spent most of her childhood. She attended MACCRAY schools and graduated with the Class of 2005.

On August 23, 2006, Jessica married the love of her life, Thomas Kruger, in Montevideo. Together, they built a home in Bunde, where they raised their two sons, Dalton and Ethan. Jessica later returned to school to earn her accounting degree from Minnesota West Community College which was a testament to her drive and dedication.

For the past seven years, Jessica worked as an accountant at CCM Health Hospital. Outside of work, she had a love for home renovation projects and spent many happy hours outdoors, hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature with her family. Racing was a shared family passion, and Jessica took great joy in cheering on her boys at the track.

One of her greatest joys in life was becoming a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. Jessica will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, caring daughter, loyal sister, and dear friend.

Jessica is survived by her husband: Thomas Kruger; sons: Dalton and Ethan Kruger all of Clara City; father, Scott VanHove; mother, Jackie VanHove; sister, Jennifer (Taylor) Garberich; grandsons: Leland and Gauge and grandmother, Ruth VanHove.

She was preceded in death by grandparents: Willy and Fran DeGrote, Ted VanHove, and Shirley Kruger; uncles: Doug VanHove, Bob Hamilton, and Mark Beck; and aunt: Pam Hamilton.
