Jesus Javier Ruiz

Jesus Ruiz, 65, of Willmar, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at his home in Willmar.

His memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 17, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar and will be streamed at https://www.ourlivingwater.org/jesusruiz.html.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.

Jesus Javier Ruiz was born August 18, 1956, in Laredo, Texas, the son of Juan and Guadalupe (Vela) Ruiz.  He grew up and attended school in Laredo.  On April 7, 1973, he married Gloria Garcia in Laredo.  Jesus worked as a truck driver and continued this career after the family moved to Willmar in 1989.

Jesus enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, boating, playing pool, and hanging out with his brothers-in-law.

He is survived by his wife: Gloria; six children: Isabel Ruiz, Jesus Ruiz Jr., Juan Ivan Ruiz, Guadalupe Parras, Arturo Lee Ruiz, and Justin Ruiz; twenty-four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister: Guadalupe San Juanita Ruiz. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Benjamin Ruiz, Roberto Ruiz, Luisa Molina, and Victorino Ruiz.
