Joseph John Feldman

Joseph John Feldman 19, of Brooten, died Thursday, April 22, 2021, due to injuries sustained in a car accident near Kensington.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 1, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa.  Interment will be at St. Donatus Catholic Cemetery in Brooten.  A visitation will be held from 4-8:00 pm Friday, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Parish Prayers at 4:00 pm and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:00 pm. Services are entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade. www.hafh.org

Joseph John Feldman was born October 20, 2001, at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, MN the son of Thomas and Carol (Schmitz) Feldman.  Joseph was baptized and confirmed in the BBE Catholic Parish.  He grew up in Brooten where he received his education in the BBE School District graduating with the class of 2020.  Joe was a deeply loved member of his class and had a smile for everyone who met him. Joe was part of the Cub Scouts in Brooten for several years.  In his six years at BBE High School, he participated in: football, basketball, wrestling, and baseball. In his senior year, he was the treasurer of the FFA Chapter and was a dedicated FFA student throughout high school. In addition, Joe was a member of the Trapshooting team beginning in 2016. He was also a devoted, caring member of the BBE Catholic Church community and will be missed by all who knew him.

Joe was a people person, he always found something to talk about or someone to talk to.  Joe was not only a grandson, son, brother, nephew, or cousin, he was a friend, and entertainer, he was always laughing.  He was someone that you could turn to when you were in need of help.  Anyone who knew Joe had a Joe story and each story was about a different experience.

Joseph is survived by his parents, Tom and Carol of Brooten; sister, Amanda of Brooten; grandfather, Martin Schmitz of Brooten, and his grandmother, Donna Feldman of Renville.  He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by grandmother, Esther Schmitz of Brooten, grandfather, John Feldman of Renville, and several aunts and uncles of Brooten.
