Judd Bonham Obituary

Judd R. Bonham, 70 of Watkins, formerly of New London, died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  A visitation will be from 1:00 – 4:00 pm Saturday March 30, 2024 at the Johnson Funeral Home in New London. Graveside services with military honors to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar.          

Judson Richard Bonham was born on Sept 2, 1953 in Minneapolis, and adopted by George and Elizabeth (Tayler) Bonham.  He grew up in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1971.  On November 27, 1972, he entered the US Coast Guard where he served his country until his honorable discharge on November 27, 1976.  On April 14, 1984, Judd was united in marriage to Marcia Korth in Willmar.  This union was blessed with two daughters.  They made their home in New London and Kimball before they divorced.  Judd worked for Old Dutch before working as a golf pro at Little Crow Country Club for many years, moving to Kimball in 2003.  He continued to work in the golf industry into his retirement. 

Judd loved his time with family and friends, golfing, bowling, playing pool and duck hunting.  He was an avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited and enjoyed trips to the casino.

Judd died on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 70 and shortly after meeting his new grandson, Bodhi.  He is survived by his daughters, Alexandra “Ali” Bonham (Kameron Hanson) Suzannah “Suzi” Bonham (Credem Johnson); grandchildren, Aubrey, Elsie, Teddy and Bodhi; bonus grandchildren, Juele, Gavin, Marshel and Lincoln and sister, Mary Bonham.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Thank you to the VAMC St. Cloud team for providing such good care as Judd had been residing there since August 2023.
