Judy Ann (Cors) Tucker, 69 of New London, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026 at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. Visitation will be 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the Harvey Anderson and Johnson Funeral Home in New London. A time of sharing will begin at 3:00 pm.
Judy Ann (Cors) Tucker was born October 25, 1956, in Winamac, Indiana, to Norman and Lois (Powers) Cors. After losing her father at a young age, she was lovingly raised by her mother and second father, Vincent Meyer. She grew up in the Rensselaer, Indiana area with her eight siblings. She graduated from Rensselaer Central High School in 1975, where she formed many lifelong friendships, while also cherishing the close friends she made during her early high school years in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
On January 22, 1977, Judy was united in marriage to Oran Tucker. They were blessed with three daughters and a son. They made their home in Rensselaer, Indiana where she worked as a nurse’s aide and as a waitress at a family restaurant. In 1991, she moved with her children to New London, Minnesota where she worked at Hillcrest Truckstop. She loved to cook, but more than that, she loved all the fun she had with her coworkers and customers.
Judy enjoyed playing solitaire, crocheting, and traveling. She treasured the many adventures she shared with her sisters as they traveled. One of her adventures brought her to Pennsylvania where she lived with one of her sisters and provided care and support during a difficult chapter in her sister’s life. She made many Pennsylvania friends and always shared her happy memories of that time. Upon returning to New London, she continued to work at Hillcrest and made her home on the farm with her companion Larry Prentice.
Judy looked forward to her visits to California to spend time with family and cherished the many memorable trips to Las Vegas and local casinos, where she could often be found enjoying the penny slots and sharing laughs with those around her.
Judy loved her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and friends. She found her greatest joy in bringing loved ones together, whether for weekend cookouts, family dinners, holiday celebrations, or simply spending time together at the farm. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she loved having them stay for the weekend creating countless memories. Known for her great sense of humor, warm heart, and outgoing nature, she was often the life of the party and had a unique ability to connect with anyone she met. Her generosity, love of family, and gift for making everyone feel welcome will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved her.
In 2018, Judy was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. True to her determined and resilient spirit, she faced the diagnosis with incredible courage, refusing to let cancer define her. Throughout her journey, she fought fiercely and inspired those around her with her perseverance and positive attitude. During her battle, she was lovingly cared for by her children, whose devotion meant the world to her. They stood by her side through every appointment, treatment, and challenge, surrounding her with the love and comfort. Judy often expressed how grateful she was for the exceptional care she received from the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Cancer Center. She later moved into Bethesda in 2023, where she continued to receive excellent care from all those around. She was well known and often referred to as ‘my favorite resident’ by the care givers. Through it all, she remained strong, independent, and full of life.
Judy passed away on September 28, 2026 at Bethesda Grand in Willmar just short of her 70th birthday. She is survived by her children, Robin (Julio) Bello of San Diego, CA, Shannon (Wade) Gilb of Las Vegas, NV, Jon (Jasmine) Tucker of Paynesville and Melissa (Wade) Quisberg of Spicer; grandchildren, Gage Gilb, Jonathan Tucker, Ava Baker, Justice Tucker, Isla Quisberg and Jase Quisberg; siblings, Donna (Gary) Lanoue, Diana (Mike) Eggiman, Dave (Lynette) Cors, Barbara Hartz, Jeff (Heidi) Meyer, Chris (Patrick) Sadenwater, Lynn Moskovitz and Mark (Kim) Meyer, 20 nieces and nephews, and 20 great nieces and nephews.
