June Margaret Olson was born to Beatrice and Otto Berglund on July 27, 1931 in Paynesville, Minnesota. They lived in New London, Minnesota, where she attended school. June met the love of her life, Andy Olson, and they were married on April 8, 1948 in Willmar, Minnesota. They lived on the family farm and for a short time in Rhode Island while Andy served in the Navy. While on the farm, June was a housewife and helped with the chickens, gathering the eggs every day. She was a great cook and was always ready to share a meal with anyone who stopped to visit. She was an active member of the Refuge Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, mission circle, and in the kitchen. She enjoyed her family, grandchildren, and in her later years, her great-grandchildren. She loved fishing with Andy, doing search-a-word puzzles, and watching old westerns.
June is survived by her children: Mary Lou (Claire) Kvaal of Willmar, Richard Lee (Kathy) Olson of Willmar, Barbara Ann (Marvin) Sandvig of Sunburg, and Cindy Kay (Bruce) Bakken of Sunburg; grandchildren: Ronald Clancy, Jr., Kari Clancy Steele, Stacey Olson, Shawn Olson, Chad Sandvig, Rodney Olson, Mindi Kvaal Anderson, Kelly Sandvig Sweere, Cody Bakken, and Dylan Bakken; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Courtney, Payton, Austin, Andrea, Aaron, Arica, Megan, Kali, Levi, Abby, Logan, Shakira, Wyatt, Clayton, Lexi, Jackson, Weston, Samantha, and Theo; and great-great-grandchildren: Alice June, Raelynn, and Grayson.
