Kevin lived at Lakeland 2 since 2006 and has been working at NuVisions since it opened. He passed away at his home on March 27, 2021. He will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to meet him. He stole the hearts of many people who were able to work with him.
Kevin was a man of many words and expressions. He loved humor and especially teasing. He would tell jokes that made you laugh only because he was laughing or sometimes cackling. He would do something special with each staff he worked with, whether it was thumb wars, bomb babies or a special statement he had for that staff. He loved coffee, and most foods. He said he hated sauerkraut and then was tricked into trying it and loved it!
He enjoyed long van rides while looking for horses and other animals in order to mimic them.
He claims to be a man of many traits; janitor, safety officer and fireman. He would gladly help take charge in any situation, yelling “fire” for the quarterly drills was exhilarating for him.
Now his job is finally done. He has received an invite to a party he has discussed for many years. A party filled with all the liquids and foods he could ever want (no more restrictions). He frequently requested to go to Woodville, which now will be a split-level green house in Heaven with unending space. He can hoard all he wants, and has access to all the best pens. He can arrange and re-arrange everything to be just so. The party will include family and friends that have gone before him, some he hasn’t seen for years. He will enjoy singing and dancing, being the center of attention and telling stories that will never end ❤️
