Larry A Hanson

Larry A. Hanson, 70, of Clara City, died Saturday, March 28th at his home. His private interment will be on Tuesday, September 29th at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Clara City. Due to health concerns there will be no public visitation. Larry’s family greatly appreciates all the cards, memorials, flowers and food sent in his memory. Larry Hanson was born to Paul and Grace (Ruschen) Hanson on September 29, 1949, in Willmar. He grew up in Raymond and graduated from Raymond High School in 1967. On June 6, 1969, Larry was united in marriage to Marcia Boike at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. To this union two children were born: Chris and Eric. They made their home in Clara City where Larry and Marcia continued to live for 51 years. Larry worked in the Lumber business for 52 years, the last 18 years at sales for Perkins Lumber in Willmar. He loved working at Perkins Lumber, making many friends with coworkers and customers. He also enjoyed riding his Harley, keeping a good supply of firewood, playing Santa Claus and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife, Marcia Hanson of Clara City; sons: Chris (and Sharon) Hanson of Lakeville, and Eric (and Meredith) Hanson of Hastings; grandchildren: Kassidy, Kourtney, Kayla, Henry, Soren and Ingrid. He is also survived by his siblings: Marilyn (Terry) Isaacson of White Bear Lake, Dean (Joni) Hanson of New London and Glennyce (Joe) Iiams of Kandiyohi. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.
