Lonnetta Jean Schroeder, 84, of Clara City, died Monday, January 4, 2021, at Carris Health Care Center and Therapy Suites in Willmar. Her memorial service will be at a later date when its safer to gather as family and friends. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Clara City. www.hafh.org
Lonnetta Jean Schroeder was born March 26, 1936, to OB and Grace (Fuller) Stovern in Graceville. She attended Willmar High School, graduating in 1954. She continued her education in the Nursing Program at Rice Memorial Hospital where she received her LPN degree. On March 24, 1956, Lonnetta was united in marriage to Jerry Schroeder at United Methodist Church in Willmar. To this union six children were born: Jolene, Brenda, Jeff, Bonnie, Jay and Bobbie. She and her family moved around the Midwest before making their home in Raymond. Lonnetta worked over 40 years as an LPN, spending over 20 years at Willmar Regional Treatment Center. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading, spending time up north and with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known as “Grandma Jean” to her grandchildren and many others. Lonnetta had a heart of gold and was special to everyone she met. She was a loving mother, grandma, aunt, cousin and friend.
Lonnetta is survived by her children: Jolene (and Randy) Weber of Elmwood, WI, Brenda (and Jim) Miller of Willmar, Jeff (and Brenda) Schroeder of Durand, WI, Bonnie (and Mark) DeZeeau of Long Prairie, Jay Schroeder of Clara City and Bobbie (and Mike) Schmidt of Clara City; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helen as an infant.
