----MACK EDGAR CARLSON----
Mack was born in Minnesota on August 29, 1930 to Ed and Anna Carlson. Mack was raised in Onamia, Minnesota in the Home built by his Dad for the Family on 40 acres.
Mack Edgar Carlson was found to be a Descendent from an Unbroken Genetic line of Ancestors whose origins We tracked to the Dawn of History. Mack’s most distant Relatives we discovered------his Greatest Most Distant Grandfather and Grandmother were in fact----Adam and Eve.
Mack loved Beverly!
Yes, he did!
They were married on September 29, 1953 in Herman, Minnesota. Dad and Mom were together raising their Family and Backing each other up through all Life’s Challenges and Blessings and Adventures for the next 67 years while Mack was a Baptist Pastor in various states in the Midwest.
Mack Loved his Family!
Dad loved being a Father and the Patriarch with the Responsibilities of Providing for his Family and Raising His Family in a Way that is Pleasing to God.
We were the #1 Most Faithful Church-going Family in Minnesota or Colorado or Iowa or whatever State we lived in! We loved going on Trips to Grandparents. While the Adults were conversing in the house, us Kids would get to roam and explore at will! We were climbing in the apple trees to get green apples; wandering in the woods looking for Deer antlers; digging up worms for sales to the Weekend Mille Lacs Lake Fishermen; or collecting agates on the Roadside.
Mack was Adventurous!
Dad and Mom took our Family on several Amazing Vacations. We saw Caves and Waterfalls and Buffalos and crossed dozens of States camping in Tents…and we always somehow got back Home safely on a Wing and a Prayer!
In the middle of Challenges, I never heard Dad whine about things.
An Epic Snowstorm-we were expected to bundle up and met the challenge!
If you got a flat tire-it was “Oh my goodness!” with a shake of his head and a smile! Never; “Why me?!” Even camping in the middle of a rainstorm with the miserable clammy sticky muddy South Dakota Gumbo-Dad was smiling! Dad would just smile and shake his head and cheerfully do whatever needed to be done to survive challenges which now We remember as some of Our most Cherished Dramatic and Colorful Adventures!
Mack loved People!
Dad was always Happy to see You. Everyone was Welcomed and it was a Special occasion for Dad every time he had a Visitor. Dad Enjoyed the Moment.
Dad enjoyed many Special Moments.
Some of those Special Moments Dad enjoyed were spent with You.
You knew it then. You know it now.
“It’s so great to see you!” “Would You like some Tea and a Jelly Toast?!”
We all knew we belonged! We all have a place in the World with My Dad.
Mack could Fix things!
Yes, he could! I remember Dad having a complete Transmission disassembled downstairs on our Ping Pong table! I was afraid to even look at it! After a few weeks…well…Transmission was back in his car and it was working great! And…now We could play Ping Pong again!
Mack loved to go Fishing!
Dad planned many Family fishing trips, and eventually got His own boat and He went fishing often with Mom. What food can compare to some of Dad’s freshly cleaned sunfish-fried in the good old skillet by Mom?!
How am I going to get that Amazing Treat anymore?
Mack Carlson has left this Earth.
We will all fade away like the grass one day. But We may leave an Imprint.
Mack Edgar Carlson did leave an Imprint.
He has touched and changed all our lives. He has left all of us with Gifts: Acceptance-Respect-Warmth-Love
We will pass those Gifts on to those We Love.
We will Remember You and We will Miss You.
