Maria Irlas

Maria Irlas, 75, of Willmar, died Sunday, November 16th at St. Cloud Hospital. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 21st at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. www.hafh.org

Maria Irlas was born September 27, 1950, to Domingo Diaz and Isabel Garcia in Hampton, Iowa. Shortly after her birth they moved to Crystal City, Texas, where Maria went to school. Maria was united in marriage to Eloy Rodriguez Sr. in Crystal City. They continued to live there until moving to Minnesota in 1980. Maria eventually made her home in Willmar. She enjoyed cooking, singing, attending church and spending time with her family. Maria was always willing to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma and friend.

Maria is survived by her children: Isabel Lopez of Willmar, Anna Diaz of Willmar, Eloy Rodriguez Jr of Willmar, Jose Fidencio Rodriguez of Willmar, and Marisol Martinez of Worthington; 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Isabel Armando Martinez, Asencion Moreno, and Virginia Panlez; as well as many other friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy Sr., parents, grandchildren: Julio Rodriguez and Elizabeth Rodriguez; and siblings: Dominga Garcia, Ventura Diaz, Domingo Diaz, Antonio Diaz, Paula Alvarez, and twin sister, Annaluisa Diaz, in infancy.

Maria’s Casketbearers will be Marcus Guevara, Jose Rodriguez Jr., Jeremiah Martinez, Zechariah Martinez, Concepcion Martinez Jr., Alejandro Turrubiates and Guadalupe Diaz Jr.
