Marianne L. Bjork

Marianne L. Bjork, 76 of St. Cloud, formerly of New London, died Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2022 at Colfax Cemetery near New London.  Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade.                                  

Marianne Louise Bjork was born on June 8, 1945 in Belgrade, the daughter of Marvin and Doris (Johnson) Satterlund.  She grew up in North Dakota and Minnesota, attended New London High School, graduating in 1963. She attended college in Missouri, California and England.  On June 6, 1964, Marianne was united in marriage to Larry Bjork. They made their home throughout the world while Larry worked as a contractor for the military.  They later divorced. 

Marianne was a member of the Rebekah’s, taught vacation bible school and was active in the Boy Scouts of American when her sons were young.  She enjoyed baking, crocheting, and knitting, often for a cause in the community.

Marianne is survived by her sons, Larry Bjork of Belgrade and Richard Bjork of Benson; grandchildren, Brittany (Chris) Fox and Nicole (Brytton) Pollock; great-granddaughter, Cassandra Pollock; and siblings, Beverly Skindelain, Harlan Satterlund, Deborah (Burt) Manz and Terry (Marlene) Satterlund.  She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy; parents and brothers, Mavin, Eugene and Neil.
