Marilyn Holtkamp Obituary

Marilyn Kulset Holtkamp, 77 of Plymouth died unexpectedly, April 7, 2025.  Her memorial services will be 2:00 pm Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in New London.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.  Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in New London.  Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in New London.

Marilyn Kay Kulset Holtkamp was born on May 4, 1947 in New London the daughter of Carl and Arlette (Dahlbeck) Kulset.  She grew up in New London where she attended country grade school and graduated from New London High School in 1965. That same year, she married Earl Holtkamp, and together they were blessed with two daughters. The couple made their home in Utah for many years before their divorce. Marilyn returned to Minnesota, where she built a fulfilling career at Batory Foods. Over the years, she served as a customer service representative, account representative and office manager before she retired on June 14, 2013.

Marilyn was fiercely independent and endlessly curious, with a warm, honest spirit that left a lasting impression on everyone she met.  She had a quiet yet powerful way of showing love - through her welcoming home, her comforting presence, and her gentle touch.  Her apple pies and brownies became beloved family traditions, made with care and remembered with joy. Marilyn found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: reading a good book, working on puzzles, and spending time outdoors. Above all, her heart was rooted in her family, where she was affectionately known as “Mom,” “Grammie,” and “Mikki.” Her unwavering love and devotion were the steady foundation of her children’s, grandchildren’s, and even her pets’ lives – a source of warmth and strength that will be deeply missed and forever treasured.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Julie (Dan) Miller and Rachelle (Steve) Eisenberg; grandchildren, Briana, Ben, Joey, Tatum and Sam; siblings, Laurie (Gary) Brower, David (Penny) Kulset, Linda (Jim) Radabough, Diane (Bob) Wosmek and James (Judy) Kulset; sister-in-law, Cheryl Kulset and her pets, Rory and Emmers.  She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Dennis, Samuel, Karen, Joanie, and Gary and numerous loved pets.
