Marilyn was born January 20, 1945, in Glencoe, MN, the daughter of Arnold and Irene (Henslin) Sandahl. She was baptized and confirmed at 1st Evangelical Lutheran Church. She attended grade school and graduated from Glencoe High School in 1964. Shortly after her father’s death in 1973, she and her mother moved to Willmar. Due to a severe hearing impairment at a very young age, she attended post high school classes at Willmar Community College, North Hennepin State and Mankato State to prepare herself for her occupation at Telex in Glencoe from 1965-1968 and Pioneerland Library in Willmar from 1974 until retiring in 2010.
Marilyn had a dear love for Bethel Lutheran, attending Wednesday Matins and Sunday services faithfully. Reading her Bible was a daily habit, and she went out of her way to be friendly to everyone. Visiting her brother, Dale, and family in Alaska every summer meant fishing for salmon and spending time with her niece, Molly, and nephews, Timothy and Gus, until COVID ended it. She also enjoyed attending family gatherings.
She is survived by her brother, Dale (Barb) Sandahl; niece, Molly (Al) Hull and their children, A.J and Samantha; nephew, Timothy (Lynne) Sandahl and their children, Joe and Leah; and nephew, Gustaf (Kelley) Sandahl, and their children, Macenzi and Creed along with several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Myron in infancy, and Robert.
