Mark B. Brenner, 59, of Kerkhoven, died Friday, May 7th at Carris Health Rice Hospital in Willmar, surrounded by his loved ones. His celebration of life will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 12th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. Mark Bernard Brenner was born to Albert and Dona (Mangin) Brenner in Hoven, SD, on October 8, 1961. When he was two, he and his family moved to Kerkhoven where he attended Kerkhoven schools graduating from Kerkhoven High School in 1980. Mark started working at Brenner Construction for a few years before starting Mark’s Drywall. He was blessed with two daughters, Heather and Holli. Mark was a great father. The girls enjoyed going on fishing and hunting trips and also going to work with their dad. Mark loved spending time with his grandchildren, Bryce, Branson, Brogan, Ella, Cora, and Rhya. On June 4, 2004, Mark was united in marriage to Patty Larson. He enjoyed having friends over to his mancave, going on Sunday drives, traveling, gardening, going fishing on Lake Winnibigoshish and spending holidays with his family. He was well known for getting some of the best fireworks South Dakota has to offer.
Mark is survived by his wife, Patty Brenner of Kerkhoven, daughters: Heather Brenner (Wade Miller) of Benson, and Holli Brenner of Sunburg; 6 grandchildren; mother, Dona Brenner of Willmar; siblings: Patricia (Roger) Bendel of Onaway, MI; Jerri Brenner of Howard Lake, Michael (Kathy Grund) Brenner of Willmar, Ann (Harv) Brenner-Kiel of Rochester, Paul (Maureen) Brenner of Chaska, Karla (Dale) Nelson of Willmar, and Luella (Joe) Newby of Lakeville; sister-in-law, Pamela Sward; special friends, Kraig Rood, Nathan Mast, and Christina Schwenk; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his father, and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barb and Sandy Larson.
Mark’s family wishes to thank Dr. Haggenjos, his nurses and the Cancer Center for their great compassion and care for Mark.
