Mark E. Lehnen, 61 of Paynesville, died Thursday, December 23, 2021 at his home in Paynesville. Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Johnson Funeral Home in Paynesville. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Gausdal Lutheran Cemetery near Belgrade.
Mark Eugene Lehnen was born on February 19, 1960, in St. Cloud the son of Donald and Carol (Nelson) Lehnen. He grew up on the family farm near Paynesville and attended Paynesville High School. As a young man he worked on a mink farm and helped his family farm. He was united in marriage to Roxanne Nelson on September 6, 1994. They were blessed with a daughter, Tammy and Roxanne’s two sons, Jeremy and Russell. He worked for AMPI for 30 years before retiring in 2014.
Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the cabin hunting with his dad and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mark is survived by his wife, Roxanne of 27 years, children, Tammy (Martin) Castellon, Jeremy (Naomi) Nelson and Russell (Alissandra) Nelson; grandchildren, Gabe, Cameron, Olivia, Isaac, Abby, Hailey, Emily, Marissa and Ezrah; siblings, Cindy (Paul) Anderson, Debbie (Chris) Kennedy, Bonnie (Danny) Rudy, Mary (Kenny) Schlangen, and John (Rosanne) Lehnen; aunt, Irene (Jerry) Diedrich and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, David; newphew, Brent; niece Bobby Jean and numerous aunts and uncle.
