Mary Ann Konieczny, 76, of Willmar, died Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Prairie Senior Cottages in Willmar.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, at the Church of St. Mary in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. The service will be streamed at https://www.ourlivingwater.org/maryk.html. Interment will be at the Appleton City Cemetery. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Homes.
Mary was born September 18, 1949, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Albert and Agnes (Janiszeski) Konieczny. She grew up in Appleton, Minnesota, and graduated from Appleton High School in 1967. She later attended technical school in St. Paul.
Mary worked in health care in several communities throughout Minnesota before moving to Willmar in 1980. She was employed as a respiratory therapist at Rice Memorial Hospital for many years and later at CCM Health in Montevideo, retiring in 2015.
She was a member of the Church of St. Mary in Willmar and was also active in TOPS Clubs, where she earned the Queen Award for her weight loss achievement.
Mary enjoyed reading, crafts, baking, cooking, and canning pickles. She also enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, listening to music, and going to the movies with Craig. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family at picnics, reunions, and other gatherings. Mary was a very caring person who always offered help to anyone who needed her.
Mary is survived by her sisters, Barbara Konieczny of Willmar, Kathy (Jim) Weber of Benson, and Theresa (Dave) Dahl of Willmar; her sister-in-law, Janet Konieczny of Spicer; her beloved friend, Craig Nissen of Willmar; her nieces and nephews: Levi Weber, Beau Weber, Jamie (Dan) Swanson, Mackenzie (Kris) Johnson, Erin (Doug) Zierden, Adrienne Konieczny, Katelyn (Brian) Skudlarek, Mitchell (Susan) Konieczny, Matthew Konieczny, Nicole Dahl, and Spencer Dahl; five great-nieces and great-nephews: Jaxyn Johnson, Zoey Johnson, Riley Zierden, Mady Zierden, and Carter Zierden; and her uncle, Clarence (Agnes) Wiering of Tyler.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Jeffrey.
