Mona Rae Tait was born June 23, 1951, to Richard and Betty (Carstens) Miller in Willmar, Minnesota. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and attended New London-Spicer School, graduating in 1969. Following high school, Mona attended Willmar Area Vocational Technical Institute, where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree.
In 1971, Mona married William Beecroft at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Following their marriage, they moved to Miami, Florida, where Mona continued her education at Miami Dade College, earning her Registered Nursing degree in 1975. They later returned to the New London area, where they raised their two daughters, Nadiah and Amanda. Mona and William later separated in 1994.
Mona dedicated 40 years of her life to nursing at the State Hospital in Willmar. She also spent 20 years working as a Registered Nurse Consultant for Chrysalis Inc. Nursing was more than a career for Mona; it was something she truly loved and took great pride in. She retired from nursing in 2016.
In 1998, Mona married Stephen Tait at Peace Lutheran Church. They made their home in Spicer and shared many wonderful years together.
Mona enjoyed quilting and gardening and took pride in canning vegetables from her garden. She was a social butterfly who loved being around people and rarely wanted to miss out on an event or gathering. She especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and, most importantly, her family.
Mona is survived by her husband, Stephen; children, Nadiah (Ben Christainson) Beecroft, Amanda Beecroft, Rikki (Jesus) Lozano, and Sam (Laura) Tait; grandchildren, Eli, Kylan and Kalea Lozano, Jameson and Lincoln Tait, and Xavier and Kiaya Beecroft; siblings, Carrie (Wayne) Nelson, Dana (Fran) Miller, Jeff (Jane) Miller, Kevin (Joy) Miller, and Colleen (Bob) Ostergaard; and many nieces and nephews.
