Nathan James Johnson was born on July 18, 1989, to James and Dianne in Willmar. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer. Nate graduated from New London-Spicer High School in 2007. He furthered his education by graduating from Ridgewater College in 2013, where he pursued a career in agribusiness.

On September 5, 2014, Nate married the love of his life, Allie Stulen on top of the mountain. Together, they were blessed with two children, Tucker and Jada.

Nate began his career at Paynesville Co-op in 2011 as an agronomist, later transitioning to Belgrade Co-op in October 2022. His passion for agriculture and dedication to helping his clients was evident throughout his career. Outside of work, Nate was often seen lending a hand to his stepdad with masonry work or helping his father-in-law with farm-related tasks.

In his free time, Nate enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, bowling, golfing, and playing bags. He also loved spending time with friends, enjoying beers together. Nate had a strong passion for trap shooting, and he volunteered his time coaching the Willmar High School Trap Team. Date nights with his wife, Allie, were important to him, as was spending quality time with his pride and joy, Tucker and Jada.

Nate is survived by his wife, Allie; children, Tucker (4 years old) and Jada (20 months); his father, James “JD” Johnson; mother, Dianne (Bruce) Barber; siblings, Kristi Barber, Kari (Troy) Weets, and Jon (Kayla) Barber; and his in-laws, Steven and Karen Stulen, as well as his brother-in-law, Taylor Stulen. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Taylor, Jackson, Cassadee, Reese, and his godchild/niece, Payten Barber; godchildren: Emerson Senger, Aubrey Johnson; and his grandmother-in-law, Audrey Stulen.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Betty Bohlsen; and paternal grandparents, Roger and Janet Johnson.
