Ozzy Owen

Daryl Jon “Ozzy” Owen, 61, of Willmar, died Saturday, February 28th at his home. His memorial service will be at a later date with interment at Benson City Cemetery. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org

Daryl Jon Owen was born on October 13, 1964, in Benson, Minnesota, to Jon Wayne and Margaret Mary (Gruenwald) Owen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Daryl attended Washington Elementary School in Willmar and graduated from Willmar High School in 1982.

Following graduation, Daryl moved to Minneapolis, where he began working in maintenance at the Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport. He dedicated many years to his work there before eventually returning to Willmar, where he was employed at Cub Foods.

Daryl found great joy in the outdoors. He loved walking in the woods, riding his bike, and listening to his favorite music. He took special pride in caring for his cactus plants and dearly loved his dog, Loki. Above all, Daryl treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.

Daryl is survived by his siblings: Debby (Robert) Schluter, and Jolene (Scott) Forbord. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Kim Owen.
