Pamela Kay Woltjer, 60, of New London, died Thursday, August 20th from injuries resulting from a truck accident. Her memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 5th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Madelia. www.hafh.org
Pamela Kay Woltjer was born November 17, 1959, in Willmar the daughter of Chester and Alvina (Nelson) Woltjer. Pam was baptized in 1959 and later confirmed in 1972 at Raymond Methodist Church. She grew up on the family farm outside of Pennock and attended elementary school in Raymond. Pam graduated from Raymond High School with the Class of 1978. She furthered her education at Ridgewater College, graduating in 1988, and concluded her education at St. Cloud State University graduating in 1990. On April 14, 1995, Pam was united in marriage to Rose Dahm on a Caribbean Cruise. They made their home on Norway Lake. Pam started working as a truck driver and also a school bus driver. She continued to drive school bus for 22 years. Pam will always be remembered for her “can do” attitude and also for her smile. She was the heart of her family and was always willing to help family or friends in need. She had a loving heart for everyone and particularly her bus kids. She enjoyed her yearly camping trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area with Rose and Rose’s sisters. Pam also enjoyed gardening, wood-working, crafts, traveling and visiting with family and friends. She was a loving partner, daughter, aunt and friend.
Pam is survived by her life partner, Rose; father, Chester (Gerry) Woltjer of Pennock; Anita (Ron) Kriegh of Superior, WI, Chester Jr. (Rhonda) Woltjer of Grand Junction, CO, Timothy (Sherry) Woltjer of Dell Rapids, SD, Kristi Jo Woltjer of Rice, and Neil Woltjer of Pennock. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alvina.
