Paul Arthur Halvorson was born October 11, 1961, to Gordon and Anna (Anderson) Halvorson in Willmar, Minnesota. He was baptized at Gausdahl Lutheran Church and confirmed at Crow River Lutheran Church. Paul graduated from BBE High School in 1980 and spent his entire life in Belgrade, the town he loved.
On August 15, 1992, Paul married his beloved wife, Carrie Kjellberg, at Zion Lutheran Church in Black Duck. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, cherished memories, and three wonderful children. Paul was a dedicated farmer, working the land near Belgrade for the past 30 years.
He found joy in riding his side-by-side, hunting, snowmobiling, and immersing himself in the great outdoors. He was a fan of classic television, often relaxing with episodes of "Bonanza" and "Gunsmoke." Paul’s infectious laughter and generous spirit were a source of warmth to everyone around him.
A man of exceptional kindness, Paul had a beautiful heart and was deeply giving to his community. His generosity extended far beyond his daily interactions; he was a donor who helped many people through his body donation, reflecting his commitment to always helping others.
Paul is survived by his wife, Carrie Halvorson of Belgrade; children, Tia (Breanna) Halvorson of Otsego, Tanner (fiancé, Madison) Halvorson of Edina, and Tessa (Matt Schmitz) Halvorson of Belgrade; siblings, Doug (Judy) Halvorson, Phyllis (Jim) Framstad, Marilyn (Paul) Erickson, Ron (Kay) Halvorson, Dan (Sue) Halvorson, Stan (Rachel) Halvorson, and Ralph (Melissa) Halvorson; granddogs, Loki and Pax; and many nieces and nephews.
