Rebecca Mae Pederson

Rebecca “Becky” Mae Pederson, 79, of Willmar, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, May 2nd at Carris Health Rice Hospital. Her visitation will be 1-3:00 pm Thursday, May 6th, followed by her funeral at 3:00 pm at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Willmar. www.hafh.org

Rebecca “Becky” Mae Pederson was born May 27, 1941, in Springfield, the daughter of Alfred and Adella (Schenk) Pautzke. She was baptized and later confirmed at Community Methodist Church in Springfield. She grew up in Springfield where she attended public school.

On March 8, 1958, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Raymond Pederson. They lived in Springfield, Morgan, Minneapolis, Milan and Lamberton before moving to Willmar in 1993. Becky started bartending before working factory jobs, eventually working as the Office Manager at Ace Group working with Ken. They would retire together on September 4, 2008, and had many great retirement years. She enjoyed watching the Twins and the Vikings, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting, bowling, and playing computer games. She was a loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma. “I have lived a simple life. My heart is filled with love and joy of all my family” – Becky.

Becky is survived by her children: Tamra Hart of Willmar, Cindy (and friend, Jim Gerdes) Jenniges of Glenwood, Scott (and Paula) Pederson of Hawick, Jay (and friend, Lisa Anderson) Pederson of Pennock, and Randy (and fiancé, Morgan Smith) Pederson of Litchfield; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren with two more on the way! She is also survived by her brother, Jerome Pautzke and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, parents, brothers: Alfred Jr, Robert and Richard; and son-in-law, Wayne Jenniges.
