After spending some time in Alaska and California, he moved to Plano, TX, where he worked for the State of Texas in Child Protection and as a parole officer in Dallas.
While living in Plano, Richard met Stacey Glover and they were blessed with two children, Erica and Kyle. He was extremely proud of his children and loved them very much.
Richard enjoyed music, especially Rock N Roll, having an extensive record collection. He liked watching mass on TV, the History Channel, Judge Judy, and playing his guitar. Being a true Minter, he enjoyed conversations, telling stories and jokes! He had a compassionate heart and loved God above all else.
Surviving are his children, Erica and Kyle Minter of Plano; mother, Mary Jo Minter of Willmar; siblings, Tim (Michelle) Minter of Raymond and Lisa (Tom) Donner of New London as well as several nieces and nephews.
