Richard "Dick" Evans

Richard “Dick” Evans, 81, of New London, died on Saturday, November 9, at Bethesda North Pointe in New London. A Celebration of Dick’s Life will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 20, at the American Legion in Spicer. www.hafh.org

Dick was born on October 3, 1943, in Pipestone, MN, to Basel and Lillian (Hansen) Evans. He married Wila Hemmen on March 16, 1962, and they have lived in New London since 1968. Dick was self-employed in the construction business.

Dick is survived by his wife Wila, children: Rick (Chris) Evans, Dan Evans, Dennis (Karla) Evans, Lance (Lori) Evans, Scott (Diane) Evans, Joellen (Steve Pung) Evans-Allee; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and brother Basel Evans. He was preceded in death by his mother Lillian, his father Basel, step-mother Esther and sister Susan Gimbel.
