Robert Ulerich Baumann

Robert Ulerich Baumann, 76, of Willmar, died Saturday, April 17th at his home. A  private memorial service will be at a later date with burial at Bethany Cemetery in Wabasso. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. www.hafh.org 

Robert Ulerich Baumann was born January 3, 1945, in Redwood Falls to Henry and Grace (Revier) Baumann. He grew up in Fairfax where he graduated from Fairfax High School in 1963. Shortly after high school Bob moved up to Anchorage, Alaska where he worked on the Railroad with his uncle Fran. However after six months, Bob then moved to Redwood Falls in 1964. On August 3, 1968, Bob was united in marriage to Sandi Werner at St. Ann Catholic Church in Wabasso. This union was blessed with two children, Tadd and Troy. They continued to live in Redwood Falls until moving to Willmar in 1972. Bob started working at Northern State Supply where he helped repair tools. He continued to work there for 33 years, retiring in 2011. Bob loved fishing, he once won a day fishing trip with Al Linder! He also enjoyed reading, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and friend. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Sandi; sons: Tadd Baumann of St. Cloud and Troy (Karie) Baumann of St. Cloud; grandchildren: Matt and Kate Baumann, Adam Baumann, Hannah Baumann, Brodie Baumann, and Grace Baumann. He is also survived by his siblings: Toni Fox of Inver Grove Heights, and Russ Baumann of Redwood Falls and his beloved mini doxie, Harli.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Nancy Sullivan and in-laws, Arnold and Mildred Werner.
