Rona Lambing

Rona Lambing, 85, of Willmar, died Tuesday, March 11th at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. Her celebration of life will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, www.hafh.org.

Rona Louise Lambing was born September 22, 1939, to Pierre Deserie Lepine and Mary Ellen Belle Ralston in Bronx, New York. She grew up in New York where she graduated from Hunter College High School. Rona continued her education with a scholarship from the US Navy department at Pratt Institute in New York, where she received a degree in Electrical Engineering. On June 24, 1961, Rona was united in marriage to John Charles Lambing at Presbyterian Church in the Bronx. They lived in New York briefly before moving to St. Paul where Rona began working as an Electrical Engineer for Univac and other companies for 43 years until her retirement. They meanwhile moved to Willmar where they made their home for 50 years.

Rona was a member of the League of Women Voters and Willmar Zoning Appeals Board. She was an accomplished pianist and served as pianist at the Unitarian Church in Willmar. She enjoyed gardening and going on canoe trips with her children to the Boundary Waters. She was a loving wife, mom, and grandma.

Rona is survived by her husband, John; daughters: Cindy Lambing of Willmar, and Heather Ingbretson of New Brighton; grandchildren: Madelyn (Hunter) Lomel, Morgan Lambing, Joey Ingbretson, and Logan Lambing; and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Glenn Lepine.
