Ronald DuHoux

Ronald Duhoux, 72, of Kandiyohi, died Tuesday, April 8, at CentraCare Rice Hospital in Willmar. His funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 15 at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar.  Arrangements are with Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home. www.hafh.org

Ronald A. DuHoux was born on August 3, 1952, in Willmar, Minnesota, to Jimmie and Betty (Nellis) DuHoux. He was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Kandiyohi. Ronald attended elementary school in Kandiyohi and graduated from Willmar High School in 1971. After high school, he began working on the family farm, where he took pride in milking cows and tending to the land. Farming remained a lifelong passion, and Ronald was proud of his work as a farmer.

Over the years, Ronald held a variety of jobs around the Kandiyohi area, but his heart was always in agriculture. On September 8, 1995, he married Brenda Schneider in Willmar. Together, they built a life full of shared memories and joy.

Ronald was an active member of the Apol’s Harley-Davidson club, the Willmar Elks, and the American Legion. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, fishing, and working in his shop. He also had a great love for music and dancing—especially polka—and cherished time spent with family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda; his children: Jamie (Jennifer) DuHoux, Tanya (Earl) Hoting, and Kathy Gerdes; grandchildren: Kaylee, Tyler, Kyler, Hunter, Kolby, Abby, Kaleb, and Carter; and great-grandchildren: Zayden and Jaxson. Ronald is also survived by his sisters, Jan Stene and Beverly Iverson, and nephews: Chad, Ryan, Chris, and Kevin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Betty DuHoux; brother-in-laws: Orin Stene and Jerry Iverson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Donna Schneider.
