Ronald Dale Sette

Ronald Dale Sette, 68, of Spicer, MN, died at his home on Thursday, October 19th, 2023.  His funeral will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 24th at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, MN.  Visitation will be Monday from 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home and continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  A reception will follow at American Legion Post #167 in Willmar.  Interment will be at a later date in Owatonna, MN. www.hafh.org

Ron was born on March 19, 1955, in Owatonna, MN, the son of Kenneth and Ester (Yule) Sette.  He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1973 and continued his education at the University of Minnesota – Duluth and the University of Minnesota – Waseca.  On October 11, 1975, Ron married Suzanne Draeger.  Together, they had two children, Neal and Taylor.

Ron worked with animal nutrition companies throughout his 40-year career.  Most recently, he was the Director of Ruminant Team with Devenish Nutrition.  Ron retired in June of 2022.

On October 4, 2010, Ron was united in marriage to Jenifer Chislett Amberg in Las Vegas, NV.  They recently celebrated their anniversary and were looking forward to life in their new home.  An avid golfer, Ron hit his first hole-in-one this fall.  He also enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. 

Ron is survived by his wife, Jenifer; son, Neal (Julie) Sette and their children, Jon, Ella, and Ben of Apple Valley, MN; daughter, Taylor (fiancé Patrick McDermott and his daughters, Kathryn and Olivia) Granquist and her sons, William and Eli of Owatonna, MN; step-daughters, Melanie (Andrew) Rodelius and their sons, Kaden and Kamren of Kerkhoven, MN, Stephanie Hennen and her daughters, Avery, Sophie, and Rylie of Clara City, MN; and sister, Brenda (Steve) Peterson of Merrifield, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Sette.
