Ruth D. (Theessen) King

Ruth D. King, 73, of Willmar, died Thursday, April 30th at Vista Prairie at Copperleaf in Willmar.  Her funeral will be 1:30 pm, Thursday, May 7th at Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home in Willmar with visitation one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Calvary Lutheran Cemetery.  www.hafh.org

Ruth was born August 13, 1952, in Willmar, the daughter of Herman and Cleo (Asche) Theessen.  She grew up in Raymond and graduated from Raymond High School in 1970. She was united in marriage to Craig King on September 8, 1973, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Raymond.  Following their marriage, they lived in Willmar and she worked at Jennie-O before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, making many pieces for family, friends and even for sale. 

Surviving are her brothers, Clarence (Linda) Theessen of Willmar and Harold (Nada) Theessen of Pell City, AL and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Craig, on March 5, 2018.
