Scott Allan Rear

Scott Rear, age 65, of Willmar, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at his home in Willmar.

His memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 17, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar.  A recording of the service will be available at the funeral home website, www.hafh.org.  Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo at a later date.

Scott was born November 22, 1955, in Montevideo, Minnesota, to his parents, Roger and Helen Rear.  He has three sisters: Vickie (Gerald) Rooda, Claire Marsh, and Linda (Gary) Cliplef.

Scott didn't have an easy life after a childhood illness caused him physical and mental disabilities.  There were a lot of hard times for him, his family, and caregivers.  He taught us that we can see past the difficulties and find the beauty, for there is always beauty.  We celebrate that his body and mind, that were once so restricted, have been set free.

We are so grateful to the many wonderful people that have taken care of Scott over his lifetime.  Thank you all for taking care of the weakest and most vulnerable members of our society.

We express our deep appreciation to Christy, Ashley, Ali, Mo, Abdi, Shantelle and Jeremy for your love, help and dedication to Scott as he left this earth.  Hopefully he left an imprint on your hearts as well.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sisters, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
