Sharlot Kay Roeder, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born to Floyd and Florence Ahlgren on March 13, 1940, in Austin, MN. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, MN, in 1961 and dedicated her career to helping others through various nursing roles, retiring in 1997 from the Willmar Regional Treatment Center. Sharlot married Walter Roeder on June 27, 1964, in Austin, MN, and they made their home in Belgrade, where they shared a life filled with love and companionship.

Sharlot had many hobbies over the years, but sewing was her true passion. She created beautiful quilts that warmed the homes and hearts of family and friends alike, sharing her love for quilting with the Crow River Church Quilting Group. Sharlot was also an avid reader and treasured her time with the Belgrade Reader's Club, where she found joy in both books and friendship.

Sharlot passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Glen Oaks Assisted Living Center. She is survived by her loving children, Catherine (Al) Roeder of Las Vegas, NV, and Alex (Beth) Roeder of New London; grandsons Aaron (Destiny) Roeder of Belgrade and Ethan (Jensen) Roeder of West Fargo, ND; her twin sister, Sharon (Richard) Wagner of South Bend, IN; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in 2022; her parents; and her brother, Kenneth Ahlgren.

Sharlot's warmth, generosity, and creative spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves a legacy of love and kindness that will live on in the lives she touched.
