Sharlotte B. Williams, 86, of New London, died Thursday, April 3rd at Cura of Willmar Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Her memorial service will be at 11 am, Thursday, April 10th at Hope Presbyterian Church near New London. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Lake Andrew Cemetery near New London. Arrangements were made with Johnson Funeral Home of New London.

Sharlotte Blanch Caldwell was born December 13, 1938 in Pennock to Lowell and Marcella (Reetz) Caldwell. She attended and graduated from Danube High School. Sharlotte married the love of her life, Eldon “Eldy” Williams on September 26, 1958 at Roseland Reformed Church. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and service. They enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling together. Sharlotte and Eldy took the trip of their life to Alaska and were gone for two months. They created many memories and loved being able to drive and take in the scenery from Minnesota to Alaska.

Sharlotte’s career started right after high school at the Willmar College as the registrar when it first opened, where she worked for 30 years. Upon retiring, Sharlotte didn’t slow down. After just one year of being home, she began working part-time at Menards, a position she held for nearly 15 years. She was always known for her warm smile. Sharlotte also enjoyed watching murder/mystery shows and doing needlework, especially hardanger embroidery.

Sharlotte was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church near Spicer. She was very involved with the church. She sang in the choir, served as treasurer for many years, and volunteered. Her kindness, generosity, and strong faith were her guiding principles.

Sharlotte is survived by her husband, Eldy Williams; children, Terri Seggesser, Renae (Gary) Illies, Shelli Peterson (significant other, Darren), and Jodi (Mike) Evenson; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Howard (Sue) Caldwell and Lynn (Ceal) Caldwell; and sister, Mavis Orr.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Janet Bickman.
