Sharon L. (Aalfs) Asche

Sharon Lenore Asche, 78, of Clara City, died Friday, February 12th at the Clara City Care Center.  Her funeral will be 10:30 am, Thursday, February 18th at Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City with interment in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm, Wednesday, February 17th at the church and continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.  Funeral arrangements are with Harvey Anderson Clara City Funeral Home. www.hafh.org

Sharon was born November 6, 1942, in Rheiderland Township, Chippewa County, Minnesota, the daughter of Bert and Ruth (Pederson) Aalfs.  She grew up in Rheiderland Township where she attended District #70 through the 6th grade and graduated from Clara City High School in 1960.

On November 30, 1962, she was united in marriage to Gerald D. “Jerry” Asche at Bethany Reformed Church.  Sharon and Jerry lived in Clara City their entire married life. 

Sharon did daycare for over 38 years, retiring in 2015, known to so many as “Grandma Sharon.” She spent many hours at the ballfields and gym watching her kids and grandkids.  She loved visiting with friends over a Coke.  Sharon was a lifetime member of Bethany Reformed Church. 

Surviving are her children: Jeffrey Dale (and Kari) Asche of Raymond; Joel Dennis (and Dana) Asche of Raymond; Jennifer Lenore (and Eric) Sebring of Clarksville, TN, and Jodie Kathleen (and Jason) Holland of Marshall; 15 grandchildren: Carter Asche, Madi Asche, Piper Asche, Brooks Asche, Will Asche, Hudson Asche, Lowen Asche, Taya Asche, Jace Sebring, Cain Sebring, Odin Sebring, Laec Sebring, Ascher Holland, Easton Holland, Maverick Holland,   Also surviving is her sister, Kathleen (and Gerald) Marcus of Willmar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jerry, on September 17, 2017; and brother, Kenneth Aalfs.
