Terry “Tigger” Carlson, 62, of Belgrade, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home near Belgrade. Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade
Terry Lee Carlson was born on May 2, 1958, in Willmar, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Ambrose) Carlson. He was baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar and confirmed at Crow River Lutheran Church. He attended country grade school in district #758 and Belgrade High School, graduating in 1976. On June 15, 1996, Terry was united in marriage to Tina Jensen at Crow River Lutheran Church. They made their home south of Belgrade where he farmed with Colman and Loren Larson before farming on his own in 2009.
Terry was a member of Crow River Lutheran Church. He served on the Belgrade Co-op Board for twelve years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, deer hunting, playing cards, shaking dice, and watching sports. He’ll be remembered for his love of farming and great sense of humor.
Terry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tina; siblings, Dale Carlson of Brooten, Dennis (Rochelle) Carlson of Pillager and Robin Carlson of Willmar; Tina’s parents, Delmar and Mona Jensen; Tina’s siblings, Jacki (Tom) Templin, Scott (Julie) Jensen and Jesse (Tamra) Jensen and ten nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
