Valentine G. Lopez

Valentine Lopez, age 82, of Willmar, died Wednesday, September 29, at Carris Health Care Center in Willmar.

A visitation for Valentine will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar followed by a graveside service at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar.

Valentine was born February 14, 1939, in West George, Texas, the son of Manuel Lopez and Maria Gonzales.  He lived in Mathis, Texas, until he moved to Willmar, Minnesota in 1988.  He enjoyed gardening, tending to his plants and the blessings of the outdoors.  He also enjoyed reading his Bible and attending church, as well as spending time with his family.

He is survived by a nephew: Jesus (Juanita) Garcia of Raymond, MN; and numerous, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings: Conrado Lopez, Margarita Cantu, Tomasa Alaniz, Cecelia Garcia, Luisa Lopez, Monica Garcia, Gabriella Ramos, and Eva Carranza.
